"We're going to be doing three art quilts, a basic one, one with some embellishing, and the third one's going to have some mixed media on it!" — Beryl Taylor
Beryl Taylor, originally from Rotherham, England, studied art at the Manchester High School of Art. After discovering creative embroidery she continued her education with the City and Guilds textile and embroidery program and later founded the textile group Threadmill. Beryl now resides in New Jersey where she continues her role as wife, mother, and mixed-media artist.
"Beryl is such an gem! In this video, she explains how she creates reverse applique and gives it a whole new spin to make it fresh and contemporary. In Beryl's first video, she explained how she creates her unique fabric paper. That demonstration alone started a new trend with variations of her fabric paper blooming throughout the media media world. This is sure to start yet another trend!" — G. Hansen
